Burundi is home to a variety of primate species, including chimpanzees, great apes, Olive Baboons, Bushbabies and various monkey species. 
Burundi has small populations of chimpanzees in the protected areas like Kibira National Park and Bururi National Reserve. 
  Bushbabies varieties include the Dusky Bushbaby and Prince Demidoff's Galago. Monkey species; the Vervet, L'Hoest's Monkey, Red-tailed Monkey, and Silver Monkey, Angolan Black-and-white Colobus Monkeys, and Johnston's Mangabeys.
